Patient missing from State Hospital

Police are looking for a 32-year-old man who was reported missing from the Hawai'i State Hospital in Kane'ohe yesterday.
Police said David Mainaaupo was last seen at about 1:45 p.m. yesterday as he went to work in a plant nursery on hospital grounds. But hospital officials later could not find Mainaaupo, and he was reported missing at about 2:20 p.m. He is described as 5 feet 9, 200 pounds, with black, thinning hair and brown eyes.
Police said he has convictions on weapons, burglary, auto theft and terroristic threatening charges. They believe he may be in the Windward O'ahu area. Call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.
