WENDELL KALEI-ANUENUE LEE has been named the first partner of Hawaiian ancestry in the more than 50-year history of the local office of tax and accounting services firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers. As the newest tax partner in the firm's Honolulu office, Lee will help lead the tax practice's 30-member professional staff, as well as oversee the department's daily operations. He was senior tax manager.

• HAWAI'I SCHOOLS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION, Honolulu's 11th largest credit union with more than $50 million in assets, has announced three new appointments. JO ANN M. NAGATORI, the credit union's operations manager from 1997 to 2001, returns to the organization as vice president of operations. Named new vice president of lending is 28-year industry veteran, LORRAINE SHIMOKAWA. KAREN K. GIONSON has been named manager of the credit union's Mililani Town Center branch. The group, whose headquarters is downtown, serves public-school students statewide and their parents, school employees, and professional organizations affiliated with the public-school system.

SHIRLEY ALEXANDER, 20-year veteran of Ticketmaster ticketing company, returns to Hawai'i, and to the company's Honolulu headquarters, with her recent appointment as Hawai'i general manager. She was most recently Ticketmaster's general manager for Indiana, and before that marketing manager and western regional director of ticket centers. Besides a ticket outlet network and call center, the company maintains a telesales number for Hawai'i and a Web-based ticket site. The company represents some of the Islands' leading venues, including Blaisdell Center.

• Certified public accountant, JAMES C.L. MOO, who for the past year has been president of Hawaii Association of Public Accountants, local affiliate of the National Society of Accountants, has been elected to the national organization's board of governors, representing the district that includes Hawai'i, American Samoa and Guam. Moo, head of James C.L. Moo CPA Inc., is also a former vice president and trust operations officer with First Hawaiian Bank, Trust Division.

PAUL TAMBAKIS, a leading expert in tourism and the visitor industry with the U.S. Department of Commerce, has been named new director of the Honolulu Export Advisory Council. He was previously director of the Southern California Region for the Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration. Members of the Honolulu Advisory Council, named by the U.S. secretary of commerce, work to educate and facilitate exporting by Hawai'i companies. He succeeds Robert "Mike" Murphy, newly assigned as principal commercial officer at the consulate in Guangzhou, China.

• Twenty-year Liberty House and Macy's veteran, JANIS MOOKINI — previously store manager of the Macy's flagship store and Jewel Gallery By Macy's at Ala Moana, and the bustling tourist center store in Waikiki — has been named a company vice president, remaining as manager of the Ala Moana/Jewel Gallery locations. Her career has included stints as children's wear buyer, fragrance buyer, Kailua store manager, cosmetic divisional, and director of resorts for the entire company, including shops on all islands.

SLADE NEELEY, with more than 18 years of food, beverage and managerial experience, including positions with Red Lobster and Hard Rock Cafe in Honolulu and Los Angeles, has been promoted to general manager of Tiki's Grill & Bar. He was previously office manager of the retro South Pacific-style restaurant in Waikiki. Also advanced was FLOYD TABIOS, who has been with the restaurant since its October opening. He was promoted from food server to manager.

DENNIS DUNN, a 30-year investment veteran previously with the Honolulu office of Smith Barney, has joined the investment firm of Hawaii Wealth Management as assistant branch manager.
