Fight Blaster worm with a fix on floppy disk

By Kim Komando

Q. The Blaster worm has infected my sister's computer, and she can't get on the Internet. How can she remove the worm?

A. If you cannot get onto the Internet at all, use a clean computer (perhaps at work) to download a free fix from Symantec (www.symantec.com) or McAfee (www.mcafee.com). Either will fit on a floppy disk. Put the floppy into the infected machine and run the fix from the floppy.

Q. I use Excel 2002 to run statistics. Is there a way to color-code worksheet tabs?

A. Right-click the worksheet's tab and select Tab Color. Pick the color you want and click OK. You can select more than one worksheet. Simply press and hold the CTRL key when clicking the worksheets' tabs.

Q. I send clients proposals that are written in Microsoft Word. How can I make the company logo in the document an active link to our Web site?

A. First, select and highlight the logo. From the Insert menu, select Hyperlink. In the "Link to File or URL" box, type your company's complete Web site address (including http://). Click OK, and that's it.
