Fettuccine Santa Lucia, Seafood Amoricain and Beef Rouladen will be among the classic dishes offered at Flavors of Europe, a buffet presented by the Gros Bonnet Culinary Academy today and tomorrow at the Academy dining room on 1431 S. Beretania St.
The buffet features 30 choices, including signature dishes from Italy, France and Germany.
Lunch seating begins at 11 a.m. and dinner begins at 6 p.m. Prices are $23.95 and $29.95, respectively. Patrons may bring their own wine. Proceeds go to the Gordy Dambach culinary scholarship fund. Reservations: 944-2770.
Wining and dining
Sergio's Italian Restaurant continues its series of special dinners with Wines of the World, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Rainbow Bazaar at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
Eileen Hallmark, regional manager of Vineyard Brands, will be on hand to speak about each vintage. To complement each showcased wine, chef Matt Johnson created a menu that includes moliterno cheese (infused with truffles) and crackers, lobster millionaires salad, and pan-seared Atlantic salmon with baby bok choy in a chianti wine reduction.

Kaiseki Friday
L'Uraku Restaurant presents another contemporary kaiseki a seasonal, multi-course dinner common at traditional Japanese restaurants. First seating is at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Chef Hiroshi Fukui will prepare a 10-course dinner priced at $68 or $88 with eight wines. Reservations: 955-0552.
Koreans celebrate
Hawai'i's Korean community will celebrate the Dae Jan Chi Festival, or Korean Thanksgiving, noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at McCoy Pavilion in Ala Moana Park.
The free festival includes a mochi-making contest, folk-singing contest, door prizes and, of course, delectable Korean food.
Myong Woo Dahn, a folk dancing and music organization, is sponsoring the gala and providing free classes in Korean folk singing to encourage participation in the Saturday contest. Classes are noon to 2 p.m. through Friday. For details: 947-1225.

Donut delights
Add to your breakfast or snack options soft, baked goodies dripping with glaze from Daylight Donuts on the Big Island.
The new 2,080-foot doughnut facility which opened yesterday in the first phase of Keauhou Shopping Center in Kailua-Kona features an exhibition kitchen with high-tech baking machines and indoor and outdoor dining areas.
But Daylight offers much more than the round stuff: Sputnik sandwiches, 32 flavors of ice cream and a self-serve beverage bar are also part of the menu. Daylight Donuts is open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Call (808) 324-1833.
