It was one of two opening losses for the defending NCAA Division II champion Seasiders, who lost their No. 1 ranking in the Coaches Top 25 poll released yesterday.

BYUH also fell to No. 4 Cal State-San Bernardino last week.

Hawai'i Pacific, the other ranked team in the Pacific West Conference, moved up eight spots to 14th after opening the season 4-0. The Sea Warriors defeated Seattle University, No. 21 Northern Colorado, Northwest Nazarene and Southwest Minnesota State at the Hawaiian Style Classic in Hilo.
