Honolulu police are poised to hand out $77 tickets to motorists who block intersections. So if you want to avoid a hefty fine, exercise common sense.

Sure, the bus strike has boosted the number of vehicles on the streets, and we're all frustrated at the congestion. But that doesn't give motorists carte blanche to pull illegal maneuvers or refuse to give way.
