Willoughby named WAC player of week

University of Hawai'i’ outside hitter Kim Willoughby was named the Western Athletic Conference volleyball player of the week today.

Willoughby earned the honor amassing 102 kills and 42 digs in four matches. UH won all four and Willoughby was named the most outstanding player of the Aston Imua Challenge.

Along the way, she tied the UH record for single match aces (6), broke the school career mark for aces (140) and surpassed the 2,000-kill mark.

Willoughby has won conference player of the week honors eight times in her UH career.
