Harbors Division keeps A+ rating

Fitch, a ratings company, affirmed the A+ rating, its fifth highest, on $146 million in 1997 bonds issued by the state Department of Transportation Harbors Division.

Fitch said the Harbors Division last year cut operating expenses by 9 percent to $23.3 million while total operating revenues stayed steady.


Cycle City to get new showroom

O'ahu motorcycle retailer Cycle City said it recently began construction of a new showroom that will more than double the dealership's size with an energy-efficient building using electricity provided by photovoltaic cells and no air-conditioning.

The new facility is being built on the former Kelly's Restaurant site at the corner of Nimitz Highway and Pu'uloa Road. The roughly 50,000-square-foot dealership is expected to be completed next summer.
