"Abie's Irish Rose": This Readers Theater production of a 1920s play about interfaith marriage is predictable and stock, but also warm and charming. The fate of a nice Jewish boy and a good Irish Catholic girl hangs in the balance. Repeats at 2 p.m. Sunday and Sept. 21, Richardson Theatre, Fort Shafter; $6. 438-4480.
"The Guys": A two-character therapeutic drama written shortly after the fall of the World Trade Center towers. Good performances and warm vignettes fill the story of a writer helping a fire captain eulogize his missing men. "Green Eggs and Ham": In a precedent-setting collaboration, symphony musicians and opera singers join the Honolulu Theatre for Youth in staging this Dr. Seuss classic. The result is a treat that the kids will love. With "Gertrude McFuzz." "Gypsy": This feel-good musical with a message is a powerful package plenty to look at and enjoy, excellent leads, wonderful music, and a message worth taking home.
