Weddings

Rhoda Concepcion Bueno, daughter of Rolando and Erlinda Bueno of Mililani, and Shane Kiyomi Ushijima, son of Ron Ushi-jima of 'Aiea and Wanda Nagai of Honolulu, were married March 22 at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hotel, where the reception followed. The bride, formerly of Mililani, now Rhoda Bueno Ushijima, is a magazine advertising account manager. The groom, formerly of 'Aiea, is a video game animator. The couple live in San Francisco.

Heather Uilani Crislip, daughter of Richard and Marian Crislip of Mililani, and Andrew Dean Paguyo, son of Ed and Cora Angel of Waipahu, were married June 21 at Kawaiaha'o Church. The reception was held at the Ala Moana Hotel. The bride (UH-Manoa bachelor's), now Heather Uilani Crislip Paguyo, is a school teacher. The groom is a city bus driver. The couple live in Mililani.

Katia Itzel Silvera, daughter of Gaspar Castillo and Flo Mon de Silvera of Panama City, and Louis Stephen Santiago, son of Stephen Santiago of Waipahu and Dorothy Lenchanko Santiago, formerly of Honolulu, were married Feb. 22 at the Sagrado Corazon de Jesus Catholic Church in Panama City. A reception was held at the Comfort Inn Suites Hotel in the canal zone. Katia Silvera is a Farrington High graduate and holds a University of Panama bachelor's degree and a University of Florida master's degree. Louis Stephen Santiago (Waipahu High, University of California at Berkeley bachelor's, UH-Manoa master's, University of Florida doctorate) is doing post-doctoral work as a research scientist at University of California at Berkeley. The couple live in Hayward, Calif.

Janice Yukie Mei-Quon Young, daughter of Cheryl Tateishi, and Daryl Davis Lauderdale, son of Daryl Lauderdale of Florida and Ruby Lauderdale of Jackson, Miss., were married June 29 at the Hale Koa Hotel, where the reception followed. The bride (Pearl City High), now Janice Yukie Mei-Quon Lauderdale, is an intern student nurse. The groom (Kaimuki High) is a salesman. The couple live in 'Aiea.
