Police have arrested a man wanted for allegedly possessing $1.2 million worth of crystal methamphetamine, or ice.
Eric Collier was nabbed Friday by a joint drug and fugitive task force after he jumped from a window of the Pagoda Hotel and attempted to run away, police said.
Seven undercover officers gave chase, with one accidentally firing a gun. No one was wounded, and Collier was tackled about half a block from the hotel.
An officer who suffered a leg injury during the chase was taken to The Queen's Medical Center for treatment.
Collier, 37, was wanted on a federal arrest warrant for conspiracy to possess more than 500 grams of crystal meth.
According to a federal affidavit, federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents and police officers saw Collier take possession of nearly 9 pounds of ice that was hidden in a television set July 3. An accused accomplice was arrested earlier.
