Man charged in flight fracas

A man was charged yesterday with assaulting a flight attendant on a Hawaiian Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu Saturday.

David D. Salgado was charged with interfering with a flight crew.

Salgado was aboard Hawaiian Flight 33 when he and a group of friends became vulgar, according to an affidavit filed in U.S. District Court by FBI Special Agent Chong Cho.

A flight attendant decided to stop serving the group liquor, and a few minutes later Salgado demanded more beer.

Salgado allegedly told another member of the flight crew that, "You're going down." Salgado then shoved a flight attendant, Cho said.

Salgado was arrested by state sheriffs when the plane arrived in Honolulu.
