High school seniors invited to college fair

Advertiser Staff

A new college fair tonight hopes to lure public and private school students with the promise of something they won't normally find at such events: highly selective universities and a representation of colleges from around the country.

The fair is a chance for local students to meet directly with college recruiters, said Wren Wescoatt, executive director of College Connections.

The event is free to all parents and high school seniors. It runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ala Wai Golf Course Clubhouse.

High school counselors are invited to a reception that starts at 4 p.m.

The fair will host 28 colleges.

College Connections, a nonprofit organization, provides tutoring, college counseling and other educational services.
