Services for Staff Sgt. CAMERON BRYAN "BOODEE" SARNO, 43, an Army reservist from Waipahu who was killed Sept. 1, 2003 in Kuwait are scheduled Saturday. Sarno, assigned to the 257th Transportation Co., U.S. Army Reserve in Las Vegas, was hit by a truck while changing his vehicle's tire in Kuwait City. He was born in Wahiawa, and was a master of Makaha Kempo, a surfer, hunter and musician. Survived by sons, Cameron "Bj" Takeuchi and Desmond Magana; mother, Trinidad "Judy"; brother, James Jr.; sister, Jamie Gallarde; grandmother, Angeline Gallano. Visitation 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel; service 5:30 p.m. Burial 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mililani Memorial Park. LEINAALA LEE APAU, 85, of Honolulu, died Sept. 15, 2003. Born in Honolulu. A school teacher retired from the State Department of Education. Survived by daughters, Dr. Roberta Ikemoto, Dr. Noelani Ludlum and Dr. Maile Jachowski; son, Dr. Richard Apau; sisters, Alice Char and Leilani Chun; brother, Campbell Lee; 10 grandchildren.
