"Abie's Irish Rose": This Army Community Theatre Reader's Theatre production of a 1920s play about interfaith marriage is predictable and stock, but also warm and charming. "Bat Boy: The Musical":ÊThis satirical cult melodrama based on the tabloid story of a creature that is half boy, half bat provides some stunning visual effects. The cast also sings, dances and plays it straight. "The Guys": A two-character therapeutic drama written shortly after the fall of the World Trade Center towers. Good performances and warm vignettes fill the story of a writer helping a fire captain eulogize his missing men. Presented by The Actors' Group. "Green Eggs and Ham": In a collaboration, Honolulu Symphony musicians and Hawaii Opera Theatre singers join Honolulu Theatre for Youth in staging this Dr. Seuss classic.
