Tonight's Must-See
"Like Family" debut, 9:30 p.m., WB. A young mom (Diane Farr) is unhappy about the influences big-city living is having on her teen son (J. Mack Slaughter). She moves into the quiet home of her successful friend (Holly Robinson Peete). Slaughter is miscast, coming across as a cliché TV teen.
Of Note
"Wanda at Large," 7 p.m., Fox. After a good spring tryout, this show starts its first full season. Dave Chappelle guests as Wanda's ex-husband, seeking a favor.
"Luis" debut, 7:30 p.m., Fox. Luis Guzman stars as a doughnut-shop owner in a diverse neighborhood. There's much potential here, but it's marred mainly by the poor portrayal of the boyfriend of Guzman's gorgeous daughter. Maybe "Luis" will overcome that.
"Boston Public," 8 p.m., Fox. The season-opener introduces Natalia Baron as an unorthodox teacher hired fresh from college. There are plenty of other issues, involving drugs, birth control and a possible rape.
"Reba," 9 p.m., WB. Kyra moved in with her father and stepmother. Now they have trouble with her.
