Oct. 11 — Hawai'i International Youth Goodwill Games Coaching Clinic. Golf

Ongoing — Yo-Golf Series, every Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., conducted by Kiyoko Sieradzki, LPGA teaching professional, at Aloha Academy of Golf at Ko'olau. Classes combine yoga and golf and are designed to condition, sharpen mental focus, relax and enhance enjoyment. Using yoga poses and techniques, golfers can increase flexibility, balance and strength. Open to women and men. Cost is $15 per session or $48 for a series. Sept. 24 — Deadline for Waikoloa Women's Golf Challenge, on Oct. 17-19. At Waikoloa Beach Resort. Fee: $650 (includes two-day tournament, spa treatment, gift package, Saturday evening function, and golf clinic), guests who accompany a tournament participant, $199 (two rounds of golf, evening events). Oct. 15 — Deadline for the inaugural State Senior Championships, Nov. 8-9, at the Leilehua Golf Course. Golfers 55 and older by Nov. 7 with a USGA GHIN handicap index of no higher than 25 for men and 31 for women are eligible for the 36-hole stroke-play event. Entry fee is $125. Sept. 19-20 — Free hunter education classes. The Hawai'i Department of Land & Natural Resources will be offering classes on hunter safety and outdoor survival skills at the Nimitz Business Center, second floor. The class is open to anyone 10 or older. The class will run from 5:45 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. on Sept. 19 and from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 20. Information: 587-0200.



Karate

Ongoing — Free jogging clinic. The Department of Parks and Recreation will be sponsoring two clinics, staffed by experienced runners, on Sundays. The Marathon Training Jogging Clinic will meet at 7:30 a.m. at Paki Hale in Kapi'olani Park. The Central O'ahu Jogging Clinic will meet in odd months at Wahiawa District Park at 6:30 a.m. and at Mililani Mauka Elementary School at 6 a.m. on even months.
