Industrial site sells for $1.9 million

Honolulu-based real estate investment firm The Gretzinger Corp. has bought a three-building warehouse complex on two acres of fee-simple land at Campbell Industrial Park for $1.9 million.

The property at 91-226 Kauhi St. is Gretzinger's first Hawai'i real estate acquisition in 12 years. The company, formed in 1991, has ownership stakes in many local properties as well as property in Texas, California and Maryland.



Local companies win military jobs

Hawai'i companies landed $45.3 million in military contracts announced yesterday, according to the Department of Defense and U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie, D-Hawai'i.

• JHL-Nan Joint Venture of Honolulu received an Army contract for up to $23.1 million for construction work at Kalaeloa.

• The University of Hawai'i Research Corp. received a $7.5 million Navy contract to design and demonstrate radar technology for the Advanced Hawkeye aircraft.

• KD Construction Inc. received a $7.4 million contract to build a Religious Ministry Facility at the Marine Corps base at Kane'ohe.

• Magnum Firearms received a $7.3 million contract to provide anti-terrorist/force protection training for military personnel at Pearl Harbor and on Guam.



Top retailers to be honored

Outstanding Hawai'i retailers will be recognized by Retail Merchants of Hawai'i at the trade association's annual awards event on Oct. 9.

The event, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom, will announce Ho'okela Award winners from among 24 finalists in eight categories.
