Keiki triathlon set for Oct. 11
Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park will be the site of the Sprint Keiki Triathlon Oct. 11.
The event is open to children between the ages of 7 and 14. Cost is $20 before Oct. 1 and $25 after.
For age groups 7 to 8 and 9 to 10, there will be a 50-meter swim, 3-mile bike ride and 1-mile run. For age groups 11 to 12 and 13 to 14, there will be a 100-meter swim, 5-mile bike ride and 1.5-mile run. The younger age divisions will start at 7 a.m., with the older divisions starting at 7:30.
Competitors will receive a discount rate of $10 to remain at the park after the race, while families can pay $15 per person.
