VICTORIA SUNG HYE CHAI CINTRON, 81, of Honolulu, died Sept. 24, 2003. Born in Kawailoa, North Shore O'ahu. Retired owner of Terra Ceramics. Survived by daughters, Kiffa Lenthall, Josie Gardner and Tina Gadberry; son, Xander Cintron-Chai; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. GERALD "JERRY" J. EGET, 57, of Honolulu, died Aug. 3, 2003. Served in the U.S. Army at Fort Shafter, and worked as a federal employee at Fort Shafter and Schofield's East Range. RALPH S. "BUCK" ROGERS, 92, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Hawai'i, died Sept. 23, 2003. Former real estate broker with Pan Pacific Properties, scoutmaster for Troop 35 at The Parish of St. Clement and volunteer with Aloha Shrine. YASUKO TAKEMOTO, 82, of Honolulu, died Sept. 11, 2003. Outstanding State Employee of the Year in 1978; longtime program specialist for Vocational Rehabilitation Division, State of Hawai'i; organizer of the Hawai'i Council for the Hearing Impaired; originator of information and referral service providing mental health services to the deaf and community sign language classes; a founder of Deaf Action Group; co-founder of Nu'uanu Congregational Church's Women of Nu'uanu; chairwoman for the annual Plant and Potpourri Sale and WON Cookbook I and II, and coordinator of the weekly church Tai Chi class. Survived by husband, Thomas; daughters, Naomi Takemoto-Chock and Lisa Goto; brothers, Takeshi "Pete" Oshima and Shinobu Oshima; sister, Eiko Doi; three grandchildren. Private service held.
