Accident closes Liliha Street

Liliha Street between North King Street and Vineyard Boulevard was closed to traffic today after an early-morning accident that severed a utility pole.Hawaiian Electric Co. spokeswoman Lynne Unemori said 178 customers were without electricity from 3:40 to 4:30 a.m.
Replacing the damaged pole was expected to keep the roadway closed for most of the day, Unemori said.
