Robert Kritzman, the top executive in Hawai'i for Norwegian Cruise Lines, is scheduled to speak to a meeting of the FILIPINO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, 7 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Dave & Buster's conference room, Ward Entertainment Complex. Kritzman will speak on how Norwegian Cruise Lines soon to be one of the largest employers in the state, with two new cruise ships in 2004 can offer increased job possibilities, as well as retail opportunities for local entrepreneurs. MITCH D'OLIER, president and chief executive officer of Kaneohe Ranch Co. and Harold K.L. Castle Foundation, will outline the ranch's development plans for 46 acres of downtown Kailua property at the Saturday membership meeting of the AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN. D'Olier is also former president and chief executive officer of Victoria Ward Ltd., and president and chief operating officer of Hawaiian Airlines. The MINORITY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER OF HONOLULU offers free, weekly orientation sessions to minority business owners and prospective entrepreneurs. The sessions, scheduled 9 to 10:30 a.m. every Tuesday in the center's offices in Suite 2506 of the Executive Center, 1088 Bishop St., offer advice on business startups, marketing plans, loans, employee handbooks and access to capital. A free COMPUTER BOOT CAMP is offered 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays to all small-business owners interested in using computer technology to improve and expand business operations and management. The program is sponsored by the Small Business Resource Center in partnership with the Small Business Administration, the city Office of Economic Development, Hawai'i Small Business Development Center Network, Hawai'i Women's Business Center and SCORE.
