Junior golf events set on O'ahu, Big Island

 •  Hall of Fame luncheon

The 2004 Hawaii Golf Hall of Fame luncheon will be April 26 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hawai'i Prince Hotel. Cost is $35. For more information, call the Aloha Section PGA office at 593-2230.

Turtle Bay Resort will be the site of a Nike Junior Golf Camp, running July 11 through 15.

The camp is open to boys and girls from ages 10 to 18.

There will be daily instruction, practice and play at the resort's two 18-hole courses.

Gregg Baker, a PGA professional and the director of golf instruction at the Turtle Bay Golf Academy, will be the camp director.

Cost for the camp is $995 for residents that includes instruction, housing at the resort and all meals.

Junior golf at Waikoloa

The Waikoloa Beach & Golf Resort will open its 2004 junior golf program with a tournament on April 17.

The tournament will start at 3 p.m. and will pair a junior with an adult over nine holes in a scramble format using alternating shots.

The age groups for the juniors will be 10 and under, 11-12 and 13 and over.

Entry fee is $50 for non-members and $25 for members.

From May 27 through Aug. 13, Waikoloa will offer a summer training schedule. The program will cover rules, etiquette as well as instruction.

The program, which is $100, will be 12 90-minute sessions.
