Take Back the Night
Want to feel empowered? See a play or march against violence in this week's Take Back the Night events at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa.
Tonight: a 6:30 p.m. free play, "Unspeakable Acts," at the Art Auditorium. Tomorrow: a 7 p.m. march begins at the Hale Aloha courtyard.
Take Back the Night began in England as a protest against fear women encountered walking the streets at night. More than 25 years later, it has become an international rallying cry raising awareness of violence against women and families.
He punk'd you again
On Thursday which just happened to be April Fool's Day MTV announced that Kutcher, above, and his celebrity prank show "Punk'd" will return to the network with a new season. In December, Kutcher swore the program was finished.
"This is not an April Fool's joke," MTV spokeswoman Vanessa Reyes said.
But, but ... what about a few months ago, when Kutcher promised the world he was all punk'd out? Was he just tricking everybody?
"Yes, he was," Reyes said.
Anyway, "Punk'd" returns to MTV on Sunday, April 25.
Unless Kutcher gets eaten by a wolf in the meantime.
