Tube Notes

Tonight's Must-See

"American Idol," 7 p.m., Fox. Camile, Jasmine, Jennifer, Latoya, John Peter, George, Fantasia, Diana, and that kid who forgot the words to a tune. The nine young singers get another chance to chill with Simon, Paula and The Dawg tonight. Tomorrow, we'll learn which eight survive.

"24," 8 p.m., Fox. Tonight's episode keeps the focus on federal agent Michelle, played by Reiko Aylesworth.

Of Note

"Frasier," 8 p.m., NBC. Last week, Frasier paid big money for a matchmaker (Laura Linney) who is scattered, untruthful and quite appealing. He's obsessed with her but worries about her tough boyfriend. To get her out of his mind, he goes to a singles bar.

"The Shield," 10 p.m., FX. Last week's episode ended with a fierce fight. Tonight's show is well crafted and extremely upsetting.
