• The total contract the University of Hawai'i Foundation holds with the University of Hawai'i is about $3 million, which includes $2 million for fund raising, $350,000 for Alumni Relations and approximately $650,000 to pay half of the Unit Development officers' salaries and benefits. Under the proposed contract the total amount would be be divided differently for easier administration, with $2,650,000 for fund raising and $350,000 for Alumni Relations. A Local News story posted Monday contained incorrect information.

• About three quarters of Hawai'i residents approve of giving tax breaks to companies that promise to create jobs, The Honolulu Advertiser Hawai'i Poll found. The poll also determined that 42 percent of Hawai'i residents believe Act 221 is good for Hawai'i. A headline on a Business story posted yesterday and a headline on one of the graphics with the story did not accurately convey the poll results.
