Thompson services set for Monday at Punchbowl

Advertiser Staff

Funeral services will be held Monday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Punchbowl for William B. Thompson, a World War II Army veteran and systems analyst for the U.S. Navy.

Services will begin at 3 p.m. at the new columbarium.

Thompson, who was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was 78 when he died on June 9, 2003. Because the new columbarium was not completed at the time of his death, his family postponed the funeral until this month.

No flowers, by request.
