How hotels are faring

Maui hotels posted an impressive 79.0 percent occupancy for a 9.9 percent gain over the prior year to lead all islands in occupancy for the week ended April 3, according to Hospitality Advisors LLC. Maui hotels also showed a 2.3 percent increase in the average daily rate to $212.41 for the week.
