Watumull buys West Maui site

Watumull Properties Corp. bought the West Maui Center in Lahaina from Hawaii Omori Corp. for $1.7 million. CB Richard Ellis Hawaii, Inc. represented Hawaii Omori and said yesterday the property was the last of the firm's $100 million Hawai'i portfolio.
Masao Omori, a Tokyo businessman, established Hawaii Omori in 1973. Since Omori's death a few years ago, Hawaii Omori decided to sell its investments.
Airline reports ticketing scam
Hawaiian Airlines said it has notified Honolulu Police about a scam in which a man promises five roundtrip tickets to the Mainland for $250 each, collects the money up front but delivers only one valid ticket.
Hawaiian's customer advocate line is 838-3500.
Agency warns of ordering fraud
The Better Business Bureau of Hawaii warned yesterday of a scam aimed at businesses in which large orders are placed by unknown customers, often using a hearing impaired TTY (Text Telephone Yoke) service and stolen credit card numbers.

Triage wonders about shares
Triage Capital Management LP, which owns 5.68 percent of bankrupt Hawaiian Airlines parent company, said it is concerned that its interests in the bankruptcy case are not being protected.
Triage said, in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission yesterday, it is examining options to maximize the value of the company's shares.
