Man indicted in park attack

The O'ahu grand jury yesterday indicted a 20-year-old man on charges of attempted sexual assault and kidnapping after he allegedly grabbed a woman near Kapi'olani Park on April 6 and dragged her toward a dark area.
Bail for Robert Allen Oneal, 20, a Virginia resident, was set at $100,000.
According to a police affidavit filed in court, a Honolulu police officer heard a woman screaming for help near the park. The officer then saw Oneal dragging the woman toward a secluded area of the park, the document said.
The officer arrested Oneal.
Oneal's bail was originally set at $35,000 but was increased after the prosecution said Oneal told police he had been obsessed about the attack and had planned it for more than a month, said Jim Fulton of the prosecutor's office.
