Work on Pali lot begins tomorrow

The state will begin closing portions of the parking lot of the Nu'uanu-Pali lookout tomorrow to allow a contractor to apply a protective finish to the pavement.

The state Department of Land and Natural Resources has hired Hawai'i Seal Coating to do the work at the Nu'uanu Pali State Wayside in three stages, closing sections of the parking lot in two-day intervals.

The lower auto parking area will be closed tomorrow and Tuesday and the center and upper portions of the parking lot will be open. The center area will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, and the bus parking area will be closed April 26 and 27.

Rain could force changes in the work schedule.

Coastal cleanup project planned
