Hawaiian Air posts operating profit

Bankrupt Hawaiian Airlines posted an operating profit of $9.5 million on revenue of $66.5 million for March, its best operating results for both March and the first quarter since the airline filed for bankruptcy in March 2003.The March results represent a year-over-year improvement of $10.3 million compared to an operating loss of $774,000 on revenue of $56.2 million a year earlier.
The most significant area of improvement was in overall revenue, which increased by $10.3 million over the same time last year.
