Tonight's Must-See

"Friends," 7 and 7:30 p.m., NBC. With the "Friends" finale coming May 6, the show is finally ready for new episodes. It has one tonight (followed by a rerun) and one April 29. The other two will make up the hourlong finale, preceded by an hour of clips and comments. The previous episode ended with Rachel losing her job then landing one in Paris. Tonight, Ross — still in love with her, even if he won't admit it — scrambles to get her job back. Meanwhile, Joey is already so depressed that Phoebe tries to hide the news of a recent death. And Chandler and Monica are grumpy about something in their new neighborhood. That's followed by a rerun of an episode that's both funny and sweet: Desperate to adopt a child-to-be, Monica and Chandler go along with the mother's belief that they are a doctor and a minister.

Of Note

"Survivor: All-Stars," 7 p.m., CBS. A 12th person will be ousted.

"Tru Calling," 7 p.m., Fox. There's a complication this time when Tru sees a murder victim at the morgue. She previously saw the same guy harassing a woman.

"Romancing the Stone" (1984), 8 and 11 p.m., FX. A fun romp, nimbly handled by Robert

Zemeckis, who directed "Back to the Future" and "Forrest Gump." A romance novelist (Kathleen Turner) and an adventurer (Michael Douglas) link in Colombia.

"Frontline: Son of Al Qaeda," 9 p.m., PBS. Abdurahman Khadr was a Canadian kid whose family moved to Afghanistan, sharing a house with his father's friend Osama bin Laden. He later described bin Laden as "a normal human being who has issues with his wife, and he has issues with his kids." Khadr was raised to be a terrorist, but became a U.S. informant. Here's a profile.

"ER," 9 p.m., NBC. The previous episode was filled with jolts. Now Weaver fights to get custody of the baby after the death of her lover. Sam tries to adjust to the arrival of her son's father, while Kovac, her real love, worries.
