This son is staying put

The day before Easter, my 5-year-old son asked why Jesus had to die. I gave him the standard answer that was given to me as a child: "God so loved us that he gave up his only son to save us from sin."

Upon hearing this and realizing that he was an only son himself, he looked at his father and cried: "Well, that's not nice!"
