Some Bible verses are so rich and ridiculous, Larry Jones of Honolulu says he could turn them into a TV pilot maybe, a Fox series on "Bible Bloopers & Spiritual Silliness."
Jones, a retired teacher from Georgia, is leading a five-week program on "Humor in the Bible Study" beginning 9 a.m. May 2 at Church of the Crossroads. It's free to anyone well, make that "anyone with a sense of humor if you don't have a sense of humor, I'm sure it's an expensive endeavor."
As for Biblical humor, "So much is lost in translation," he said.

Singles on 'Friends'
NBC's hit "Friends" is coming to an end this season, but for those in the dating world, its legacy lives on. Just take a look at findings from Yahoo! Personals' survey of 1,200 singles nationwide:
- "Friends envy" is a real phenomenon. More than half of singles surveyed (53 percent) said they wished they had a close-knit group of friends like the show's characters.
- Chandler is the favorite character of single women across the country (65 percent would marry him). Joey? Not so much (less than 8 percent)
- Nearly half of the men surveyed chose prima donna Rachel as the woman to date and marry (46 percent), while control-freak Monica was the least appealing to the men surveyed (17 percent).
- And, sad as it is, more than 40 percent of men surveyed admitted to using Joey's "How you doin' " pickup line.
