Gov. Linda Lingle has nominated four people to fill vacancies on the University of Hawai'i Board of Regents, the Hawai'i Tourism Authority and the Hawai'i Community Development Authority.
Lingle sent the names to the Senate Friday after it extended the deadline for making nominations.
Andres Albano Jr., a director and vice president of CB Richard Ellis Hawaii, was nominated for a four-year term on the Board of Regents.
Kumu hula Frank Kawaikapuokalani Hewitt and Gail Haraguchi, a vice president of engineering firm GKO & Associates, were nominated to the tourism authority.
Hewitt, who also is director of Hawaiian culture and events for Royal Lahaina Resort, would fill a term expiring June 30, 2006. Haraguchi's term would end in 2008.
Lingle also nominated Warren Wegesend Jr., general manager of the Villages of Kapolei Association, to the Hawai'i Community Development Authority. His term would expire in 2007.
All four must be confirmed by the Senate.
Lingle plans to make three interim appointments for the UH Board of Regents. They would serve only until the end of next year's Legislature unless confirmed by the Senate.
