The grass is greener for Jazz BlowOut

The Honoka'a High School Jazz Band traveled from the Big Island for the concert.

8th Annual Great Hawaii Jazz BlowOut

Noon-midnight Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday

Advance tickets: $15 each day, or $25 both days; discounts for seniors, military, students

At the gate: $20 each day, $30 both days

A change in scenery is in store for O'ahu's dedicated jazz fans: The 8th Annual Great Hawaii Jazz BlowOut will jam under the moon and stars on the Great Lawn of Kapi'olani Community College this weekend.

The festival, which was held at Kapono's at Aloha Tower Marketplace for the past couple of years, features two stages of music, and food and drinks tents. As an added attraction, the KIPO Blues Night takes over one stage Saturday night.
