The Department of Transportation says it is planning several construction projects that will close O'ahu freeway and roadway lanes.

The east-bound lanes of Moanalua Freeway will be closed from the Halawa interchange to Kalihi street between 9 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. through tomorrow to complete the resurfacing work.

The paving work will then move to the west-bound lanes and Moanalua Freeway will be closed from the School Street off-ramp to the Pu'uloa interchange from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. tomorrow through Friday.

All west-bound on-ramps between the School Street on-ramp and Pu'uloa interchange will be closed.

Also, one west-bound lane of the freeway will be closed from the Vineyard on-ramp to Red Hill from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. through tomorrow for median work.

Ponohale residents will be allowed access to the area.

  • On the H-3 Freeway, one lane about one mile south of the Halawa tunnel will be closed. The left lane of the Honolulu-bound lanes will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
