Tonight's Must-See

"Pulp Fiction" (1994), 5 p.m., Bravo. This jolting, brilliant movie really should be seen uncut and uninterrupted. Each detail — including blistering language and violence — is part of director-writer Quentin Tarantino's rich tapestry. Short of that catch it here. Tarantino has stories that seem, at first, unrelated. All view a world of tough guys who are about to be shaken. Along the way are powerful moments for John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman and Ving Rhames.

"Tiger Cruise," 8 and 9:30 p.m., Disney Channel. Navy tradition lets families spend a week on board a working ship, seeing their kin's life. That took a detour on Sept. 11, 2001. Suddenly civilians were on a ship that was on full war alert. That has been turned into a family-friendly drama. The story is stiff, but the actors sometimes bring it to life. Hayden Panettiere (from "Raising Helen" and "Remember the Titans") is an appealing star, with Bill Pullman as her dad.

Of Local Note

"The 29th Queen Lili'uokalani Keiki Hula Competition," 6:30 p.m., KITV. Children perform the kahiko (ancient) style of hula in tribute to Queen Lili'uokalani.

Of Note

"The Long, Long Trailer" (1954), 12:15 p.m., Turner Classic Movies. On the 93rd anniversary of her birth, TCM devotes the day to Lucille Ball. This is the slapstick comedy she made with then-husband Desi Arnaz, at the peak of their popularity. It's followed by "Du Barry Was a Lady" (1943), with Red Skelton, at 2 p.m., and "Yours, Mine and Ours" (1968), a low-key pleasure with Henry Fonda and lots of kids, at 4 p.m.

"Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (2001), 5 and 7 p.m., TBS. A popular computer-game character becomes the impressive form of Angelina Jolie. She plays an archaeologist and adventurer who must destroy two relics that could control time. Jon Voight, Jolie's real-life father, plays her dad.

"Joan of Arcadia," 7 p.m., CBS. God tells Joan to build a boat. Anyone familiar with Noah's story knows that's worthy advice.

"Monk," 10 p.m., USA Network. When the Mega-Mart's employee-of-the-month is crushed by a stack of TV sets, Monk goes undercover. He's working with the store's security chief, a disgraced ex-cop, played by Enrico Colantoni.
