Tonight's Must-See

"The Replacements" (2000), 7 p.m., NBC. During strikes, pro sports teams have tried to create new teams of strikebreakers. Fans grumbled and the idea faded. This film, however, imagines that it happens. Gene Hackman coaches the ragtag team with Keanu Reaves as one of the players. The cast also has Orlando Jones, Jon Favreau, Michael Jace, Faizon Love and many other stars.

Of Local Note

"The 29th Queen Lili'uokalani Keiki Hula Competition," 6 p.m., KITV. Tonight's competition features girls and boys dancing in the 'auana (modern) style.

Of Note

"America Eats: History on a Bun" (5, 9 p.m.) and "History of the Beach: The Turning Tides of History" (7, 11 p.m.), History Channel. Here are light looks at summer pleasures. First is food, including hot dogs and pizza; then is the beach, including creation of the thong bikini.

"Tiger Cruise," 8 p.m., Disney Channel. If you missed Friday's premiere, here's another chance to see this adequate family film. Hayden Panettiere plays a teen who is aboard her dad's Navy ship, with other Navy family members, when it goes on alert on Sept. 11, 2001. That actually did happen on one such family voyage; the rest is fiction.

"CSI: Miami," 9 p.m., CBS. Horatio obsesses about finding his brother's killer. Also, he meets a woman who says she has his brother's child.

"Law & Order: Criminal Intent," 9 p.m., NBC. After seeing D'Onofrio play a supporting role in "Mystic Pizza," watch him star here. When a student is killed, he suspects a psychiatrist and her psychologist husband, played by Margaret Colin and by Brent Spiner of "Star Trek: The Next Generation."

"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. Kelly Ripa hosts with Outkast as the musical guest.
