UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — The awards keep rolling in for Bethany Hamilton.

The Hawai'i teenager who returned to competitive surfing a month after losing her left arm in a shark attack in October was presented with the courage award at the 2004 Teen Choice Awards held Sunday at the Universal Amphitheater.

Last month, Hamilton was named "comeback athlete" at the ESPY Awards, the annual sports honors created and presented by ESPN.

The 14-year-old from Princeville, Kaua'i, was thrust into the national spotlight after the shark attack Oct. 31. Her recovery story has been featured in newspapers, magazines and TV shows across the country. Her autobiography, "Soul Surfer," is due out in October.

The Teen Choice Awards show is scheduled for broadcast tomorrow on Fox.
