Show seeks wannabe swans

ABC's "Extreme Makeover," the show that prides itself on transforming self-described "ugly ducklings" into total knockouts, is coming to Hawai'i to find some worthy (brave) souls to nip and tuck. A casting call will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 21 and 22 at Kahala Mall.

The show, in its second season, calls on the skills of an Extreme Team of plastic surgeons, cosmetic dentists, hair and makeup artists, stylists and personal trainers.

The casting event includes local specialists offering free consultations on cosmetic dentistry, laser vision correction and the latest in facial treatments, skin care and body slimming and firming treatments.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens over the age of 21.
