Manage your screen saver

Q. I'd like my screen saver to appear whenever I want it to, such as when I leave my desk. Is this possible?
A. Many screen-saver programs let you define a "hot" corner of the screen. When you move the mouse to the designated corner, the screen saver activates. Creating a desktop shortcut is another solution. Go to Windows, System folder. Pick your favorite screen saver. Hint: It has a .scr file extension. Right-click on the screen saver file. Select Send To, Desktop, which creates a shortcut. Now, whenever you want to launch the screen saver, double-click its shortcut.
