Honolulu's Clay Stanley will be on NBC's "Today Show" this morning with Katie Couric and Matt Lauer. The show is broadcast from 7 to 10 a.m. in Hawai'i.
Stanley starts for the U.S. men's volleyball team and leads the squad in kills, points and aces this season. His father, Jon, played on the 1968 U.S. team and is a member of the Volleyball Hall of Fame. They are the first father-son Olympians in USA Volleyball history.
Couric and Lauer will be broadcasting live from Athens. Stanley will be a part of a pre-taped athlete roundtable discussion along with five other United States Olympians.
Team USA is ranked fifth in the world. It opens Olympic competition Sunday against second-ranked Italy.
