Police unplug computer duo

A man and a woman, both 21, were arrested on suspicion of car theft, theft of utility services and promotion of dangerous drugs after a Makiki service-station employee saw the man plug his computer into one of the station's electrical outlets at about 10:30 last night.

Police were called and found the man sitting in the driver's seat of stolen rental car. Officers reported finding a drug pipe where the man and woman were sitting.


Driver of stolen vehicle arrested

A Honolulu man was facing car-theft and drug charges after police spotted him driving a stolen car in Kaimuki at about 1:30 p.m. yesterday.

The car had been reported stolen by a Waimanalo woman, 20, who also discovered her apartment had been burglarized when she returned from a trip Saturday.

Police officers were on routine patrol duty in Kaimuki yesterday when they realized the car was on a stolen-car list. They driver, 26, was ordered to pull over, and police reported finding drugs and drug paraphernalia in the car as well.
