Olympics, 12:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10:35 p.m., NBC. Track-and-field events dominate now. In prime time, teams will vie for gold medals for the men's 400-meter run and discus and for the women's 800-meter. Between 10:35 p.m. and midnight, women will compete for gold medals in the triple jump and the 5,000-meter events.

There's more in prime time, including the start of the decathlon and the gold-medal finishes in some gymnastics events.

Part of the beach volleyball semifinals will be shown live during the daytime; the rest will be on tape, during prime time. Also, late night has men's volleyball with the United States facing Brazil.

"Everybody Loves Raymond," 8 p.m., CBS When Robert and Amy married, an already-terrific show got better. It was able to add the loony members of her family, who make even his people seem normal.

Tonight brings a prime example: Amy's odd brother (Chris Elliott) finally leaves home. He promptly moves in with Robert and Amy, making everyone miserable.

"Yes, Dear," 7:30 p.m., CBS. Jimmy (Mike O'Malley) has a list of things to do before he dies.

"Two and a Half Men," 8:30 p.m., CBS. Alan (Jon Cryer) figures it's time to change his image.

"Escape From L.A." (1996), 9 p.m., USA Network. Fifteen years after his classic "Escape From New York," John Carpenter made this follow-up. Again, the tough and cynical Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) enters a lawless city. Now he's after a doomsday device.

"CSI: Miami," 9 p.m., CBS. After a woman is shot and also attacked by a shark, one of the suspects is a CSI worker.
