Honolulu Marathon expo getting bigger

The Honolulu Marathon expo will expand in size this year, increasing to the size of venues found at the Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City marathons.

The expo, held prior to the marathon in December, will move from the Outrigger Reef On the Beach Hotel lobby to the Hawai'i Convention Center. With 80,000 square feet to work with, the expo can accommodate 300 booths.

Race organizers estimate the expo could draw anywhere between 54,000 and 81,000 visitors.

The expo will be held from Dec. 8 to 11. The Honolulu Marathon, the third largest marathon in the United States, is scheduled for Dec. 12.
