Prayerfest tonight at Campbell High

More than a dozen 'Ewa Beach area churches will take part in the first 'Ewa Beach Prayerfest in an effort being titled "96706: United in Prayer."

Participating churches are: Anuenue Christian Church, Calvary Chapel West Oahu, Church of the Nazarene, Ewa Community Church, Gospel Lighthouse, Hawaii Fellowship of the Universal World Church, Hope Chapel Manoa, Hope Chapel Westside, Immaculate Conception Church, Koinonia Christian Center, Lighthouse Outreach Assembly of God, Message of Peace Church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Nicholas Episcopal Church.

The event will be from 3 to 8 tonight at the Campbell High School athletic field. Besides worship services, there will be crafts and games for keiki, entertainment, and prayer activities.

Biologist lectures on genesis gap

Kenneth Miller, a professor of biology at Brown University, will discuss "Creation vs Evolution:   Why Both Sides are Wrong" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Art Auditorium on the University of Hawai'i-Manoa campus.

Miller, the co-author of three biology textbooks used in high schools and colleges, also wrote "Finding Darwin's God: A Scientist's Search for Common Ground Between God and Evolution."
