Olympics, 6 to 10 p.m., NBC. In the final full day of the Olympics, gold medals will flow. Prime time includes events in track, freestyle wrestling, canoeing and men's platform diving. One relay race (four legs of 400 meters each) has its finals for men and women. Another (four of 100 meters each) has its finals for men. Men vie for gold medals in javelin and the 800-meter and 5,000-meter runs. Women vie for gold in high jump and the 1,500-meter run.

"Good Will Hunting" (1997), 8 p.m., ABC Family. On a night stuffed with sports, this is the best alternative. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wrote a brilliant, Oscar-winning script about a tough Boston janitor who happens to be a genius. Gus Van Sant directed it beautifully. Damon stars with Affleck as his buddy. Minnie Driver and Robin Williams (who won an Oscar for this performance) are perfect in support.

Of Note

"Little League World Series," 1:30 p.m., ABC. Clearly, someone decided there wasn't nearly enough sports on prime-time TV tonight. Hawai'i gets it live in the afternoon.

"High Noon" (1952), 2 p.m., Turner Classic Movies. One of the great westerns anchors a 24-hour Gary Cooper marathon. It's sandwiched by more cowboys, "Man of the West" (1958) at 12:15 p.m. and "The Westerner" (1940) at 3:30 p.m.

"Football," 2 p.m., CBS. This pre-season game has the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers.

"The Familiar Stranger" (2001), 5 p.m., Lifetime. Here's the fascinating, true story of a woman whose prosperous life was shaken when she heard that her husband, accused of embezzling, had been killed in a car crash. A bigger jolt followed; Margaret Colin and Jay O. Sanders star.

"Missing," 7 p.m., Lifetime. This reruns the solid season opener. An idealistic new FBI agent (Caterina Scorsone) who has revealing daydreams is partnered with a tough veteran (Vivica A. Fox).

"Mad TV," 10:35 p.m., Fox. Here's a rerun of the season finale. Guests are David Alan Grier, who perfected sketch comedies with "In Living Color," and Fred Willard.
