Advertiser Staff

The PGA Grand Slam of Golf will change its dates again, this time to Nov. 23-24 at Po'ipu Bay Golf Course and Hyatt Regency Kaua'i Resort & Spa on Kaua'i.

The event, which brings together the winners of the year's four major champions, was originally scheduled for Dec. 3-4 this year. In previous years, it was held during Thanksgiving week.

The Grand Slam of Golf will feature Masters champion Phil Mickelson, U.S. Open champion Retief Goosen, British Open champion Todd Hamilton and PGA champion Vijay Singh.

The two-day, 36-hole stroke-play event carries a $1 million purse.

Tickets to the PGA Grand Slam of Golf are available at (800) PGA-TCKT (742-8258), or online at www.PGA.com

Jim Furyk won last year's Grand Slam, which did not include Tiger Woods for the first time since 1996. Woods had won the event five years in a row.

Furyk, the U.S. Open champion, beat Masters champion Mike Weir by eight strokes and won $400,000. PGA champion Shaun Micheel and British Open champion Ben Curtis also competed in last year's event.
